I was checking out reviews on Vino Venue and happened across your blog, and then found your other blog site. There is nothing amateur about your food critic site - I love it. And the photos you've taken are great. You and Fred are having too much fun! I'd love to meet you both sometime, perhaps over cocktails at Voda. I'm a vodka fan -- love Hangar One and have taken a tour of the distillery twice. Also Polstar from Iceland - the cucumber is fantastic.
cheers,
Wendy
p.s. I see you're in the visual FX industry. Ever heard of BAWIFT? http://www.bawift.org
Hi wendy. Nice to meet you. We were just at Voda last night. You can very often find us there late on Fridays after dinner. Unfortunately the Hangar One raspberry isn't available at the moment, though I do have my own personal secret stash. Thanks for the BAWIFT link. I didn't know about that. I don't think I have a spare second to even think about being a part of another organisation but I will check it out further. I will also post it on the eMessage board at work in case anyone there is interested. thanks! hope you stop by again and maybe I'll see you at voda.
How funny...we must have been at Voda at different times because I was there that evening with friends, sampling some of the infused vodkas. (love the apricot and watermelon!). I'm headed there again this Friday, so perhaps will see you & Fred.
hi wendy we usually arrive in the alley around 8.30-9 have apperitifs at Bastille then eat there or head to Plouf for dinner. Afterwards we usually have a nightcap at Voda this weekend I have to work early saturday so i might drive which might mean no voda but aren't usually there til 11ish you can always try and spot us elsewhere on the alley I guess you know how we look better than we know how you look may bump into you tomorrow? is it friday tomorrow? sam
It is indeed...Friday tomorrow! I'll be up in the city in the evening in the Potrero district around 7pm and plan to head over to the alley afterwards. If you and Fred are up for it, chance we could meet for apertifs or something? It would be fun to chat about food and film. ;-)
P.S. If you click on my name in the blog, it should direct you to my homepage, (http://homepage.mac.com/ lightningseed/wendywalker/ PhotoAlbum6.html) which has some photos of me.
