My not very good picture of last week's lunar eclipse.

Last night we were in an accident. Our friend was giving us a lift home when a guy ran a red light at high speed. We clipped the back of his car and he ended up doing a 180 spin. Everyone is ok and the other guy takes full responsibilty. But it's a shame because the faithful Jeep came off pretty badly. Lets hope she's going to make a full recovery.

The birds have returned. They have taken up residence on a crane that has recently appeared behind out appartment.

A flower looking for the sun, didn't find any in San Francisco yesterday.

The drive to work was miserable...

We wake up to the first big storm of the season. Several inches. It's not meant to rain in San Francisco in October. It's even snowing in the Sierras.

We got him. That'll teach him to spend all night inebriating himself on our blood.

Last weekend (8-9 October), was' Fleet Week' in San Francisco

Sylvain Doreau Open Studio

This weekend was an Open Studio weekend in San Francisco. We visited the studio/home of our friend of Sylvain Doreau to see his latest work. Soon after we arrived, Fred asked me which was my favourite painting. I pointed to a medium-sized green painting that reminded me a little of a Monet, invoking thoughts of water, ponds and summer.

Fred turned to Sylvain and exclaimed "We'll buy it". It's really pretty, I look forward to hanging it on our wall. Sylvain told me that the painting was inspired by a visit he took to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and the colour of the water in a pond there.
